Ecobank Liberia Introduces Cardless ATM Withdrawal Service

Monrovia – Ecobank Liberia has introduced a new product, the Ecobank Xpress Cash, which is one of the numerous features of the All-new Ecobank Mobile App.

This initiative by the bank is intended to provide complete convenience for customers, as it improves service delivery and affords customers the opportunity to have access to cash 24/7.

The Xpress Cash service allows customers to withdraw cash from the Liberian dollar ATM without using an ATM card. Customers who are currently using the Ecobank mobile app are encouraged to maximize the use of this digital platform.

This can be done by logging unto the mobile app and selecting Xpress Cash.

An option is given for cash disbursement via Xpress Point Agency or ATM.

Customer can select ATM, indicate the account to be withdrawn from, as well as amount to withdraw.

An eight (8) digit E –token pin will be generated for use on the ATM. This E-token is valid for 3 days.

At the ATM, customers are to select Xpress Cash and enter the generated 8 digits E – token, the amount to be withdrawn and receive the cash.

What is more exciting about the Xpress Cash is that the accountholder can forward the 8-digit E-Token to any third party via sms, WhatsApp or e-mail. The recipient can then cash the amount at any Ecobank ATM without using a card, but simply going through the cardless withdrawal process described above.

The bank is also working with selected institutions, including; dealers of FMCG, fuel service stations, super markets, shops, etc to serve as Xpress Cash agents around the country and across the 34 markets where Ecobank has presence.

This will make it possible for phone users to perform both Cash-in (deposit) and Cash-out (withdrawal) services 24/7.

The E-token if not used, can also be cancelled via the mobile app and customer account will be credited back instantly.

The convenience of this new product is a clear manifestation of the bank’s commitment to providing world class banking services to its customers.
