Monrovia – The Presiding Bishop of the Bethel World Outreach Ministries International His Grace Rev. Dr. Wollo Belleh has challenged the Christian community not to leave national development with the Politicians and government alone.
Bishop Belleh said the Church in Liberia must be a partner to government in fostering and enhancing development nationwide.
Bishop Wollo Belleh spoke over the weekend when he officially dedicated the Bishop Darlington G. Johnson Medical Center in the Chugbor Community on the Old road.
The 12-bed clinic is named in honour of the Founder and presiding Bishop of the Bethel World outreach Ministries International Darlingston Johnson.
Bishop Belleh assured the Liberian people that his church (Bethel)will not only be limited to spiritual assignments but will get actively involved in nation building adding ” Don’t leave National Development with the Politicians alone.
The Bethel World Outreach Ministries International Bishop intoned, that health care is very vital in the country’s rebuilding process, noting that Bethel will use its recourses to improve the nation’s health care delivery system, thereby disclosing that the Bethel Church will shortly embarked on the construction of a medical school in Liberia.
Making remarks at the dedicatory ceremony, Associate Pastor of the Bethel Cathedral of hope International Rev. Dr. Jonathan Taylor described the dedication of the church as part of the country’s economic development.
“Health Care is important, and there is a need for the church in Liberia to collaborate with the government in achieving national development, no nation can develop without a healthy population.” Rev. Dr Taylor remarked.
Bethel Medical Team Director Marlene Tokpah for her part lauded Bishop Darlingston Johnson for his spiritual and financial support to the clinic and the Yonblee Karnga Lawrence foundation for providing beds for the hospital.
The Bishop Darlingston G. Johnson Medical clinic has an OPD section, a private wall a delivery department amongst others and it is expected to be opened to the public this Wednesday May 10, 2016.
