Kamara, who has faced skepticism from critics within his own county, expressed satisfaction with the result but stressed that the team’s mission is far from complete.

“I came into this game with a clear objective, and I believe that objective was achieved,” Kamara said.

“From the beginning, many rated Grand Cape Mount as underdogs and underestimated my ability to deliver. Securing a draw against the host county means a great deal to me and the entire team.”

The Cape Mount coach  noted that focus must now shift to the final group-stage clash against Lofa County a pivotal encounter that will decide his team’s fate in the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet.

“Even some of our own people in Grand Cape Mount doubted me,” Kamara continued. “But I want them to understand that I am here on serious business. I am here to write a new chapter in the history of Grand Cape Mount for the county,my family, and myself.

I remain determined to lead this team back to a grand final, something the county has not achieved since 2013.”

Coach Kamara also credited his team’s resilience to divine guidance, adding: “Above all, we give God the glory for His guidance, protection, and strength throughout this journey.”

The draw leaves Grand Cape Mount with four points from two matches. A victory over Lofa in their final group fixture would guarantee a spot in the quarterfinals, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated showdowns of the tournament.

As the “Cassavaleaf Boys” prepare for their next test, Kamara’s message of faith and focus has galvanized a fan base eager to see the county return to its former glory in the County meet.
