MONROVIA – The Government of Liberia has announced new adjustments in the market price of petroleum products on the Liberian market. The change is in keeping with the government’s promise to review the cost of the commodity in the country whenever the price changes on the international market. MONROVIA – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, H.E. Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. has received the Letters of Accreditation from the new ECOWAS Country Representative to Liberia, Madam Josephine Nkrumah and the new United Nations Women Country Director, Madam Comfort Lamptey.

SOUTHEAST LIBERIA – The Ambassador of the United States of America, Michael A. McCarthy, along with USAID Country Director Jim Wright, visited three Southeastern counties, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, and Maryland, from March 21-25, 2022. Ambassador McCarthy, speaking of the purpose of his visit, said: “I am the U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, not just Monrovia, and as all of you know quite well, to know a country you must travel it and see it firsthand and get out of the capital.”

ACCRA — The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) have entered into a new partnership to establish a transnational democracy solidarity network, to be known as West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (“WADEMOS”). 

Monrovia – Patience Kaifa, 12, took her first trip to a bookstore on Tuesday, March 29 when she and 13 other children from four elementary schools boarded Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair at the National Port Authority. The ship docked in Monrovia on March 19, 2022 and is expected to depart April 5, 2022.
