MONROVIA — Operators of the Free Port of Monrovia, APM Terminals Liberia has presented working tools and assets to the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) to boost the Authority’s mandate in revenue mobilization. The items presented include two Toyota Hiace mini vans, two Toyota Hilux Pickups, 40 pieces of Lenovo AMD Ryzen Laptops with 20 pieces of system units and monitors, 50 pieces of Samsung Galaxy tabs together with I.T accessories as well as uniforms amounting to a total of $600,000 in asset support.

MONROVIA – The Liberia Coordinating Mechanism (LCM) acknowledges the investigative report published on April 8th by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Global Fund (TGF) to fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria.  The OIG report highlights systemic fraud and misappropriation by the Liberian Ministry of Health (MoH), a Global Fund grant Principal Recipient, and recommends that robust actions are taken by the Government of Liberia.

MONROVIA – ArcelorMittal (‘the Company’) and the government of Quebec have announced a CAD$205 million investment by ArcelorMittal Mining Canada (‘AMMC’) in its Port-Cartier pellet plant, enabling this facility to convert its entire 10 million tonnes annual pellet production to direct reduced iron (‘DRI’) pellets by the end of 2025.
