MONROVIA – The Monrovia Branch of the National Association of University Women (NAUW) Celebrates its Founders’ Day by identifying with several public schools.   

ACCRA — The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) have entered into a new partnership to establish a transnational democracy solidarity network, to be known as West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (“WADEMOS”). 

Monrovia – Patience Kaifa, 12, took her first trip to a bookstore on Tuesday, March 29 when she and 13 other children from four elementary schools boarded Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating book fair at the National Port Authority. The ship docked in Monrovia on March 19, 2022 and is expected to depart April 5, 2022.

Dakar/ Johannesburg – On the sides of the 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66), which took place from 14 to 25 March 2022, the African Risk Capacity (ARC) and UN Women make a joint call to further promote integration of gender equality and the needs of women and girls in climate change and disaster risk management policies and programmes.

Gbarnga, Bong County – Several community-based Organizations (CBOS) within Bong, Lofa and Nimba Counties   including Chiefs, community and religious leaders, media, traditional women as well as youths    have benefited from intensive capacity building and sensitization workshop on the National Road Fund of Liberia road Maintenance Program.

BARCLAY TRAINING CENTER – The Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia launched their gender policy and five-year action plan at an event held at the Grand Royal Hotel in Monrovia on Friday, 25 March 2022.

Monrovia – The United Methodist University of Liberia (UMU), in partnership with the Blue Action Network (BAN), will launch a new college named Patrizia Ziveri School of Marine Sciences of the United Methodist University on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Monrovia City Hall in Sinkor, Monrovia. The college will teach and train students with the basic skills of managing the marine environment in and out of Liberia. MONROVIA – The Government of Liberia through the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have begun a series of consultations on what is needed to ensure a healthy planet for the prosperity of all ahead of the 50th anniversary meeting of the United Nations Environment Conference in Sweden, June.

MONROVIA – The Liberian Renaissance Office Incorporated (LIROI) has called on the newly-inducted President of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), Shiwoh Kamara, and team, to reject the donation of USD100,000 of the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill. Mr. McGill reportedly made the donation during the launch of the ULAA fund-drive.
