Dr. Kortu K Brown, says it is unacceptable for elements or supporters of Ruling and/or Non-ruling parties to threaten the peace and tranquility of Liberia. On Monday, Lewis Brown, Chair of Alexander Cummings’ presidential election team, was attacked by those believed to be members of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change following his appearance on Voice of Liberia radio station, where he had gone to rally Liberians about a planned “we are suffering” protest expected to take place on December 17.

Foya, Lofa County- Mr. Alexander Shiakeh, the Value-Chain and Agribusiness Specialist of the Smallholder Agriculture Transformation and Agribusiness Revitalization Project (STAR-P) at the Program Management Unit (PMU) of the Ministry of Agriculture has verified the matching grant utilization for at least twenty-two smallholder farmer groups and agribusinesses in the country. The smallholder farmer groups and agribusinesses in Lofa County expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and its partners including the World Bank and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) for matching grants of over Two Million United States Dollars being disbursed to them.

Monrovia – In December 2021, the Board of Directors of the Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI) engaged the services of a recruitment firm to search for suitable candidates for the position of President/CEO of LBDI. That exercise identified Mr. Deo Z. Delaney as a suitable candidate for the position, following which the Board selected Mr. Delaney as President/CEO. It has however come to the attention of the Board that there were inaccuracies in the academic qualifications supplied to the recruitment firm. As a result of this anomaly, Mr. Delaney has resigned which has been accepted by the board.

Monrovia- Investigation conducted by Maxonlinenews has discovered that officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) have portrayed a what appeared to be a lackadaisical approach in caring for a June 1, 2008, historical monument erected at the SKD. The monument was erected in the compound of the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex some years ago as a memory following the death of 10 Liberians who had gone to cheer their national team, the Lone Star of Liberia, against the Gambia on June 1, 2008, in an African Cup/World Cup qualifier.

Monrovia- Prosecution’s fourth witness testimony to Criminal Court “A” on Monday, December 5, appeared to have created more doubts, having provided two separate pieces of information surrounding his decision to charge defendant Patrick Kollie for murder. Jerry K.M. Wamah, an investigator in the shooting incident that led to the death of Valentine Johnson, who was reportedly shot and killed during the early morning hours of July 14, 2022, stated that defendant Kollie, a former agent of the Executive Protection Agency (EPS), was charged with murder based on explanation from witnesses and visitation on the scene.
