Monrovia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has banned central Referee Josephus Torjilar for two years with immediate effect. The Football House’s decision followed an investigation of bribery allegations against the referee. The investigation was conducted by the FA’s Grievance and Disciplinary Committee and Integrity and Compliance Officer Morris Nahndi Barsi Giah. Monrovia – Sinkor-based Cece United have won the Central Monrovia Fourth Division community league. Cece defeated Mondee United 3-1 in the grand-final at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on 7 August. Jerome George gave Cece a six-minute lead but Fomba Sheriff leveled for Mondee from the penalty spot in the 20th minute. Monrovia – Liberia’s champion, Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) Oilers, marked their return to Confederation of Africa Football Champions League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Senegalese champion, Generation Foot, Sunday, August 11, at the Antoinette (ATS) Tubman Stadium.
