Monrovia – The National Under-17 football team of Liberia showcased their best performance in the Mano River Youth Under-17 Peace Cup held in Liberia against Sierra Leone. The young Liberian team dominated the tournament from match day one to match four, securing victories in all four games against Sierra Leone and ultimately being crowned champions of the MRU Men’s U-17 Peace Cup 2023.

Monrovia – A prominent resident of Sheffield community in Margibi County, Anthony Cassell Kouh, has generously donated 300 bags of rice, 300 gallons of oil, and bedsheets to the residents of his community and the less privileged.

Monrovia – The Chief Executive Officer of the Kouh Foundation, Cassell Kouh, has identified with over 500 residents of New Georgia Community. Cassell Kouh, on Friday, December 22, 2023, presented rice, oil, and bedsheets to elderly women and youth within his childhood community, New Georgia. Kouh recently got released from prison in the United States of America for fraud but said identifying with his people during the Christmas season is his way of appreciating the women for their prayers during his difficult time. Monrovia’s young Liberian striker, Bryant Farkarlun, has successfully entered Major League Soccer in the United States. Austin FC selected him through the drafting process for players who completed college in the USA. In 2020, Farkarlun left Liberia to pursue college soccer, with support from Ken Sports Management, owned by former Liberian professional player Arnold Kennedy.

Monrovia – The much-anticipated 2023/2024 National County Sports Meet suffered a setback a day before the official kick-off following the government of Liberia’s postponement of the biggest sporting festival in Liberia. River Gee County was named the official host County of the 2023-2024 National County Sports Meet, which was expected to kick off on Saturday, December 16, 2023, but Minister D. Zeogar Wilson informed the various counties that the tournament was postponed.

Monrovia – Liberian international striker Sylvanus Nimely has extended his contract with the Uzbekistan Super League club Surkhon Termiz.

Monrovia – Liberian international midfielder Marcus Macaulay inspired his Malaysian club to victory in the Malaysian Challenge Cup over his international teammate Abu Kamara. The Liberian international helped his team PDRM win the 2023 Malaysian Challenge Cup after a 4-1 aggregate victory over fellow Liberian Abu Kamara’s Kuching FC. PDRM secured a 3-0 win in the first leg of the final and settled for a 1-1 draw in the second leg, ensuring they lifted the trophy. Macauley registered two assists in the finals and was instrumental throughout the Cup and Super League.
