Liberian Fitness Expert Junda Morris Takes Africa Fitness Honors & Expo to Continental Stage

Monrovia — Liberian fitness expert, event producer, and public relations professional Junda Morris is set to take her vision for Africa’s fitness and wellness industry to the continental stage with the inaugural Africa Fitness Honors & Expo 2026, scheduled for December 4–6 in Accra, Ghana.

Endorsed by the Ghana Tourism Authority, the three-day event is expected to bring together fitness professionals, athletes, bodybuilders, powerlifters, personal trainers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders from across Africa and the global diaspora.

Under the theme “54 African Countries. One Continent. One Industry. One Global Stage,” the gathering aims to celebrate industry excellence while driving networking, trade, and cross-border collaboration.

A Promise Kept

For Morris, the initiative fulfills a long-standing personal commitment made to her  late mother more than two decades ago.

Reflecting on her legacy, Morris recalled  her late mother final words to her 21 years ago:

“Junda, you must make an impact in the lives of people before you depart this earth.”

Morris noted that those words continue to serve as her primary motivation. “Mommy, 21 years later, I’m still carrying the mantle,” she said. “Your legacy lives through me.”

Fitness, Business, and Regional Integration

The event will officially be  launch on December 4 at the British Council in Accra with a red-carpet ceremony, followed by the Africa Fitness Honors Awards Gala.

The three-day itinerary features a Business Summit and Fitness Expo, giving brands, equipment suppliers, and athletic organizations a platform to showcase products, explore commercial partnerships, and discuss industry standards in strength and endurance sports.

Organizers are aiming for representation from all 54 African nations, alongside participants and delegation leaders from the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Hosting the debut edition in Accra further highlights Ghana’s position as a focal point for Pan-African sports tourism and commercial exchange.

The event will culminate on December 6 at Laboma Beach with a cultural and networking finale.
