Liberia: Van Dave Harmony Makes Winning Debut for Eagles FC in the Maldives

Harmony, who recently joined Club Eagles, played 89 minutes in his first official league appearance and provided a vital assist as his side secured all three points in their campaign opener.

“Yes, I played my first game, which was also the club’s first league match of the new season,” Harmony said. “We won 3-1, and I had an assist while playing 89 minutes.”

The victory moved Eagles FC into second place in the early league standings, giving the squad an encouraging start to the 10-team tournament.

Harmony’s third game of the season could carry extra weight for fans back home, as it is expected to pit him against fellow Liberians Albert Swen and Yaya Bility, who play for rival side New Radiant Sports Club.

The match sets up an all-Liberian showdown in Malé as the two clubs battle for crucial league points.

The growing Liberian presence in the Dhivehi Premier League highlights an expanding pipeline of West African talent adapting to Asian football environments.

For Harmony, establishing early consistency will be vital as Eagles FC aims to challenge defending champions Maziya S&RC for the top spot and continental qualification.

After making an immediate impact on his debut, Harmony will look to maintain his momentum and keep Eagles FC near the top of the table.
