The meeting, held at the residence of former Margibi Senator David S. Manyounga on Duport Road, outside Monrovia, focused on fostering peace, reconciliation, and collective development efforts for the benefit of the district.

This reconciliation initiative was facilitated after a private meeting between Rep. Gahr and former Senator Manyounga, which laid the foundation for broader cooperation.

The gathering included several former candidates from the 2023 elections, among them Stanley N. David, Johnathon Younjay, and Jackie N. Gray.

Each of the former representative aspirants expressed willingness and commitment to collaborate with Rep. Clarence G. Gahr in advancing the development of Gibi and the district at large.

Addressing the gathering, former Margibi County Senator David S. Manyounga made a heartfelt appeal to all former aspirants from the 2023 elections, their supporters, and the prominent citizens of Margibi District #5, urging them to allow reconciliation to prevail.

In the spirit of democracy, he encouraged everyone to come together in support of Rep. Gahr now that the elections have ended.

Former Senator Manyounga emphasized the need to set aside past grievances and unite behind Rep. Gahr’s political agenda for the greater good of the district.

Describing Rep. Gahr as a humble and tolerant leader, former Senator Manyounga stressed the importance of collaboration to advance their shared heritage.

A respected figure in Margibi County, former Senator Manyounga has been a strong voice for the people of Gibi District and played a pivotal role in the establishment of Margibi County in the 1980s.

“Reconciliation is the best way forward,” he urged, calling on all to embrace unity and work together for a better district.
