‘Young Liberians Must Be Given Opportunity For Higher Education ‘- Vice President

Monrovia – Six Liberian graduates from the East China Normal University, and the Huazhong University of Science and Technology have returned home with graduate degrees in Education, Public Administration and Land Resources Management and have thanked Vice President Joseph N. Boakai for sourcing the opportunities.

In a meeting with the Vice President, the graduates expressed thanks for the opportunity given them to study in China and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China.

They told the Vice President that they look forward to join him in his drive to cultivate a new culture in our society that will think Liberia, Love Liberia and build Liberia, a release from the Office of the Vice President said.

The graduates T. Samuel B. Fayia, Zwannah Kimber, Henry B. Katta, Silas N. Juaquellie, and Christian Cleon further told the Vice President that they were glad to be back in the Country to join their compatriots in the nation building process.

The Six Graduate, from Sun Yat-Sen University, Gbeh Salinto Montgomery pursued a Masters of Public Administration degree directly from the Chinese Government Scholarship also expressed joy for returning home. His scholarship was made available by the Chinese Government.

The Graduates met with Vice President Boakai at his Capitol Hill Office Thursday.

Meanwhile, Vice President Boakai has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that young Liberians are given the opportunity to pursue higher education in all fields in order to meet the man power needs of the nation, a release from the Office of the Vice President said.
