UCI Liberia: ‘Our Rice Remains the Best; Plastic Rice Video was Fabricated’

Monrovia – The management of the United Commodities Incorporated (UCI) has described a video circulating on social media as a fabrication only intended to tarnish the reputation of the company.

According to UCI, the video was criminally masterminded.

In the video, an individual is seen with an empty bag bearing the name UCI while he displays two bowls of rice, insinuating that the bad rice is from UCI and the other has no provenance.

UCI in a rather short statement informed the public that the company has never brought rice on the Liberian market and would never do such.

The company bragged that its various kinds of rice are widely known in the country to be the best, “and we will do nothing to destroy such a reputation. If the individual who produced such a cheap propaganda of what he is saying he would have come diligently to prove what he is claiming”.

Founded in 2008, United Commodities, Inc. (UCI) is an international soft commodity trading company with its headquarters in Monrovia (Liberia). The company has an extensive knowledge of the Liberian and other neighboring markets.
