TipMe is Liberia-owned and it is Liberia’s first app-based electronic payment service provider.

The app offers several services, including bill payment services, money transfers, International remittances, and many more.

The opening of the center in that part of Margibi County according to the institution is part of TipMe’s expansion plan to cover the entire country; with services presently available in Montserrado, Nimba, Bong, and Margibi Counties.

“TipMe is focused on bringing more value, and the RIA booth is strategically situated to serve agents and customers in the area while extending services to travelers,” TipMe CEO Laureine Guilao says.

Madam Guilao also praised the RIA authority which she says is the gateway to the world for partnering with her company.

The TipMe brand according to the company’s Commercial Manager Reindorf Haligah is committed to improving Liberia’s cashless ecosystem.

Subscribers can conveniently make payments at a host of supermarkets, hotels, hospitals, and restaurants through their wallets. Also, it includes bill payments for airtime, electricity, and internet, the Commercial Manager of TipMe said.

The company is also championing the government’s digital salary payment initiative, as several government employees easily receive salaries via TipMe.

TipMe’s digital ticketing platform for event management remains another outstanding service enjoyed by businesses, Haligah says.

He added: “The RIA booth will enable TipMe users to make deposits and withdrawals to their TipMe accounts, cash out international remittances, and access GT Bank deposit and withdrawal services.”

TipMe Commercial Manager continues: “TipMe customers who are traveling in and out of the country will have nothing to worry about when they need cash.”

Also at the program was Naneh Kronyanh, the Manager of the Business Department at the Liberia Airport Authority.

She said: “TipMe will be a very integral part of our business transactions here at the Airport. Most of our employees are with GT Bank and whenever they get paid there is a long line but once you can pull and pull from TipMe, that is a great help.”

Madam Kronyanh added: “Our partners coming in and once they can pull money from nearby after the banks are all close, that is a great help.”
