Monrovia- Lone Star’s new coach, Mario Marinaca, Monday February 26 began his preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifying rounds against Djibouti.

Mario began preparations with a 30-man provisional squad consisting mostly of home-based players that started training at the Samuel K Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville City.
According to the LFA, a three-day training camp which will be held weekly, is part of the Lone Star’s preparations for the upcoming 2025 AFCON preliminary round qualifiers.
Marinica has expressed gratitude for the level of cooperation from everyone so far since his arrival in Liberia.
Meanwhile, assistant coach Ronald D. Moroka and fitness coach Chikondi Mandalasi have both arrived in Liberia ahead of the team’s preparations.
The Lone Star will play away to Djibouti on 19th March before playing at home on 25th March.
