MONROVIA — Reports from Old Boy Town in Todee Statutory District, Montserrado County, detail a disturbing case of domestic violence involving 13-year-old Ramsey Zulu, allegedly perpetrated by his father, Ramsey Zulu Sr. The incident occurred in Koon Town, Tubmanville Township, within Ding Gola Chiefdom in Montserrado County.
Young Ramsey confessed to stealing fifty Liberian Dollars out of hunger, as his father had frequently failed to provide regular meals. He relies on the goodwill of neighbors who often offer him food.
Ramsey recounted being tied up on a coal base in the bush by his father, who proceeded to mercilessly beat him, leaving wounds on his buttocks and other parts of his body. Despite sustaining injuries on March 14th, Ramsey Sr. neglected to seek medical attention for his son until local authorities intervened.
Ramsey Sr. defended his actions to the police, alleging that Ramsey Jr. has a habit of skipping school to engage in theft, causing him embarrassment. He claimed to have enrolled his son at Killingworth Mission School in Todee but asserted that Ramsey Jr. continued his delinquent behavior.
Denying rumors of further abuse involving burning rubber cups, Ramsey Sr. maintains that the incident on March 14th was an isolated event.
Ramsey Zulu Jr., also known as Little Ramsey or Remember, is a 13-year-old 2nd-grade student at Killingworth Mission School in Todee District.
Ramsey Zulu Sr., aged 41, is currently under police custody at the Nyhen Police Depot in Todee Statutory District, pending further investigation.
