Monrovia – The Supreme Court of Liberia is heavily guarded by officers of the police as Justices prepare to hand down their opinion and final ruling into the Bill of Exception filed against the final ruling of the National Elections Commission.

The Board of Commissioners of the Elections Commission concurred with the Hearing Officer that the Liberty Party and Unity Party could not prove their allegation of fraud in the October 10 elections.
The two political parties alleges the October 10 elections were characterized by fraud and irregularities, and was therefore short of the minimum standards for free, fair and transparent elections.
The parties are calling for a rerun of the election.
The Supreme Court heard argument into the Bill of Exception last Friday.
The runoff election, which was originally scheduled for November 7, has since been delayed, pending a final outcome of the case.
Today’s ruling will determine whether Liberia will go for a runoff or a rerun of the October 10 vote.
