Bong County – The Chairman of the Bong County Chapter of the People’s Unification Party (PUP) William K. Sumoward, has distanced the Bong Chapter of the PUP from a group of twenty one coordinators casting a vote of no confidence in Rep. Edward Karfiah from the Governing Council of the party.
Mr. William Sumoward on Thursday in a press statement said the Bong Chapter of the PUP has no time met to cast a vote of no confidence in the Bong county Senatorial Aspirant in Hon. Edward Karfiah.

He said his response is in line with the Thursday, November 23, 2022 edition of the Frontpage Africa newspaper online news which quoted that ‘twenty-one coordinators of the People’s Unification Party (PUP) have declared a vote of no confidence in Representative Edward W. Karfiah.’
Mr. Sumoward in a press statement said all of the twenty one names were manufactured and fake names.
According to him, ‘not even a single name on this falsehood called vote of no confidence is in the leadership of the Bong County Chapter of the PUP as a coordinator.’
“We even wonder how twenty-one names as coordinators for the PUP when there are thirteen administrative districts. Isn’t this an incredible exposure of deception that would put up twenty-one coordinators for thirteen districts?
“A keen reflection of the purported vote of no confidence will inform all critical minds that this was a calculated ploy from a few hoodlums scavenging for survival on the tables of their political masters at the expanse our Party, County and the wonderful personality and character of Representative Edward W. Karfiah.
“Lastly, let the words go forth to all and sunder, that the great reputation of our great Party and its great leaders is not a domain for chicanery, neither is it a place for mere gimmickry and polemics.
“Therefore, all such persons thinking that the PUP is a place for nurturing their bigotry and gullibility to think twice or face the wrath of the people in matchless order as the laws require,” stated William K. Sumoward, chairman/Bong County chapter.
