Karnplay, Nimba County – Nimba County electoral District #3 Representative, Joseph Somwarbi, has called on his constituents to focus on promoting peace and unity in the district.
Warning against division, Representative Somwarbi said the election is over and there is a need for people in the district work together for the development of the district.
He recalled that were several speakeasies in the district that influenced the citizens to be in disarray, but he said the election was now over and the need for peace and unity.
Representative Somwarbi has toured the district putting the putting the promotion of peace and unity amongst at the top of his agenda promising his leadership will bring “pride to the citizens rather them disgrace to them”.
The lawmaker, who toured the district along with his wife, presented four cows to citizens of the four chiefdoms.
“I was elected to represent you people and my leadership will be in the interest of you people,” he said.
“Whether you supported me or you did not support me the elections are over we all need to join and built our district.”
James Zorpeawon, acting district development superintendent, Aaron Marseh, Acting City Mayor, and Gbeh-lay-geh Samuel, Acting statutory district superintendent, thanked the lawmaker for his commitment to the promotion of peace messages for the development of the county.
The local authorities also called on people of the county to support their representative for the development of the district.
