A Kigali-based Liberian scholar, Amara M. Kamara, recently graduated with two masters, an MSc in Project Management from the University of Kigali and an MA in Development Studies from Mount Kenya University, Kenya. Amara, famous as the Kigali trained, ably represented Liberia during his studies in Kigali and left an indelible impression on his professors, fellow students, and the faculty at institutions, participating in several professor-led research projects and submitting several academic papers for publications.
Amara is a son of Bolongoidu, Quardu Gboni District, Lofa County, Liberia. He is an alumnus of the University of Liberia, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Public Administration (BPA) in 2016. In 2018, he embarked on his postgraduate studies journey in Rwanda, Eastern Africa. He has authored several development policy articles on Liberia, the region, and the continent. These publications seek to contribute to Liberia’s macroeconomic policy priorities by providing sustainable policy directions to her development challenges. Amara has been a contributing writer to the FrontPage-Africa since 2019.
Before his graduation, Amara authored three peer-reviewed research papers investigating “The Relationship between Gender mainstreaming Approaches, and the Performance of Ricegrowers’ Cooperative in Bugesera District, Rwanda (Research paper) Link, The Influence of Organization Climate Support for Innovation on Project Sustainability (Research paper) Link and the Effect of Innovation and New Services on Project Sustainability of the Hospitality Industry (Research paper) Link,” These papers were published in major international journals such as the International Journal of Advanced Scientific Research and Management and the International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology. He has also received international recognition/certificates of publications as a development researcher.
Throughout his years in academia, the young Liberian scholar and academician has fiercely pursued knowledge and consistently admired his ambitious quest for superior knowledge.
Professionally, Amara has experience working in both Public and Private sectors in several functions for over eight years. He is the immediate past Public Relations and Media Representative for the nation’s premiere Medical center, John F. Kennedy Medical Center, and he performs very well under pressure. In his years of professional experience, the Kigali-trained Liberian Scholar has always remained a dedicated team player, consensus builder, Business Development practitioner, and an effective communicator, committed to providing high-quality support and excellent problem-solving skills at all project levels.
During his studies at the University of Kigali, Kamara was chosen based on performance through a rigorous selection process to participate in the World Trade Organization’s policy development competition. He focused his abstract on the title “The Effect of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) on the Performance of Global Economic Recovery from COVID-19 Pandemic”.

Kamara. By this, the Kigali-trained Liberian scholar believes that if we must get the Africa we want, the continent’s young and brightest minds must exert every effort to change the narrative and ensure Africa’s transformation.
