Liberian Midfielder Oscar Dorley Extends Stay At Slavia Praha

During his time with Slavia, Dorley celebrated two championship victories and two domestic cup triumphs. He also made significant contributions in European competitions, featuring in the quarter-finals of the European League and the European Conference League. Dorley has become an indispensable member of Jindřich Trpišovský’s squad, boasting an impressive record of 130 competitive starts (4 goals and 16 assists) for Slavia.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new contract, Dorley said, “I am excited about the new contract. I’m happy here and glad to continue with Slavia. I see this as the start of a new chapter. Playing for Slavia, one of the best teams, is a great honor.” He also mentioned a special tradition with his mother, where they spoke on the phone before signing the contract, just as they did for his previous deal, which was valid until June 2025.

Dorley’s Club Career: Born in Mo, Dorley began his career with Monrovia Club Breweries and Trakai. In February 2018, he joined Czech team FC Slovan Liberec on loan for the remainder of the 2017–18 season, making the deal permanent in January 2019 with a three-and-a-half-year contract.

On August 11, 2019, Dorley made a significant move to Slavia Prague, signing a four-year contract from Slovan Liberec. He continued to stay on loan at Slovan Liberec until the end of 2019. The Liberian international, known for his attacking prowess, has since featured in over 75 games for Prague, netting ten goals.
