Under the theme: “The Power of Resilience”, the event would focus on the challenges that Liberians faced, including the 14 years of civil war and the devastating Ebola outbreak in 2014.

It would also focus on spreading ideas that have come from Liberia’s resilience during the outbreak and celebrate Liberia’s most inspired thinkers, leaders, change-makers and community-builders.

Nyamalon, Liberian poet, writer, blogger and Open Society Foundation (OSIWA) Poetry fellow; Barkue Tubman, international social entrepreneur, philanthropist, and advocate for the rights of girls and women; Zubin Cooper, Liberian documentary maker, actor and producer; and Dr. Mosoka P. TEDx Monrovia will give these leaders a platform to share their ideas and spur the conversations about Liberia’s future.”

The main event will involve two sessions including inspiring speakers, TEDx videos from around the world, the very best Liberian musical performances and community-building opportunities.

The main event will be livestreamed around Monrovia and its environs and will be followed by a nearby reception.
