Fallah Briama, the Operational Manager of Bettomax Liberia, spoke during the ceremony, expressing the company’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s health sector. “Through our partnership with Watanga FC, we reach out to health facilities and community projects every month as part of our CSR,” Briama said.
“We chose this clinic in Paynesville, where Watanga is based, to extend our support and acknowledge the vital work being done for the people of Montserrado County.”
The donated items include 20 bags of rice, two cartons of Clorox, two cartons of Argo oil, two cartons of Tide soap, 28 sacks of bottled water, three cartons of tissue, and various other essential supplies.
Emmanuel Solo, the Secretary General of Watanga FC, thanked Bettomax for their ongoing support and emphasized the importance of giving back to the community. “We know the challenges faced by the health system, and as a club, we feel it is essential to contribute where we can,” Solo said. “We encourage other individuals and organizations to follow this example and help strengthen the health sector.”
Maria Konah, the Acting Officer in Charge of Duport Road Clinic, expressed gratitude for the timely donation. “This donation comes at a critical time, and it will greatly assist our operations,” Konah said. “We promise to use these items appropriately to continue serving the community.”
G. Andy Quamie, CEO of Watanga FC, added that the club has been involved in similar outreach efforts since January and plans to continue supporting health centers and orphanages.
“These donations, no matter how small, can make a significant difference, especially in saving lives,” Quamie said.
The event was attended by Watanga FC officials, Bettomax representatives, clinic staff, and players. This marks the fourth donation by Watanga FC and Bettomax, following similar contributions at JFK Medical Center, Redemption Hospital, and ELWA Hospital.
As part of their partnership, Bettomax has committed to giving back to the community through continued support of various social initiatives.
