Yesterday, a good number of young men and women seeking career paths in various disciplines formally joined the Young Professionals Internship Program (YPIP) launched by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP).
The Career Program aims to prepare participants for successful careers in both public and private sectors, emphasizing workplace readiness, professionalism, and accountability.
Through structured training, hands-on exposure, and dedicated mentorship, the program will equip participants with job-ready skills that enhance their employability and make them competitive in the job market; and provide practical, hands-on experience in government operations, fiscal policy, and financial governance, fostering an in-depth understanding of public sector functions.
The Career Program will as well instill professionalism, integrity, and accountability, values that are crucial in the realm of economic governance and essential for shaping responsible leaders.
As vision bearer of the YPIP, Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan has accordingly entrusted his Deputy Finance Minister for Administration, Bill McGill Jones to ensure successful implementation of the Career Program so that the nation’s young professionals are exposed to first-rate career development orientations and hands-on internship trainings that will enhance their career paths in the public and private sectors.
