MONROVIA — The Students Unification Party (SUP) at the University of Liberia (UL) has declared all campuses of the university a “No-Go Zone” for lawmakers who signed the controversial expulsion of Montserrado Electoral District 10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah.

The statement was made during a brief press briefing held in Monrovia, just hours after the decision to expel Representative Kolubah sparked widespread debate.
Speaking at the press conference, SUP Chairman Odecious Mulbah strongly condemned the action taken against the lawmaker and warned that those responsible would not be welcomed on any campus of the University of Liberia.
“The campuses of the University of Liberia remain a No-Go Zone to those who affixed their signatories to remove Honorable Yekeh Kolubah,” Mr. Mulbah stated.
Mulbah further emphasized that the Vanguard Students Unification Party recognizes Rep. Kolubah as the legitimate lawmaker for Montserrado Electoral District #10, adding that any attempt to enforce the decision would be resisted.
“The Vanguard Students Unification Party has recognized Honorable Yekeh Kolubah as the legitimate Representative for Montserrado Electoral District #10. Anything other than that will be resisted by the people and militants of the Vanguard Students Unification Party,” he added.
The SUP Chairman also criticized the administration of Joseph Nyuma Boakai, accusing the government of focusing on political matters instead of addressing key national challenges.
“We have many serious issues in this country to address — the issue of drugs, jobs, health and education — but Mr. Boakai is not addressing these issues. Instead, he is going behind an individual who has given his opinion on a matter,” Mr. Mulbah asserted.
The controversial expulsion of Rep. Kolubah has already generated mixed reactions across political and student communities, with tensions expected to heighten as more stakeholders response.
