Liberia: Organizing Committee Announces Postponement of Lofa’s 60th Anniversary to a Later Date

MONROVIA – The Organizing Committee of the Lofa County 60th anniversary has announced the postponement of the event which was earlier slated for June 15th to the 20th of June to a later date. Making the disclosure to the media on Sunday, the organizing Chairperson Senator Joseph Jallah said a new date is being contemplated by the Lofa caucus in broad consultation with citizen at home and abroad for the celebrations. been rescheduled to a later date.

According to Senator Jallah, the new date will help the county legislative Caucus and the organizing committee to ensure a smooth celebration.

He asserted that it has been recommended that the celebration of Lofa’s Independence Day be rescheduled to a later date adding a rescheduled celebration be planned for a time that will allow broad based participation.

He however disclosed that additional committees were added to the existing committees for the 60th anniversary celebration.

He named program, honoring and elder council with additional members added to existing committees.

Senator Jallah has maintained that this is the final listing for the 60th anniversary despite its postponement.
