MC edged out Fountain of Light 28-27 in a highly competitive game that saw both teams display impressive basketball skills.

Speaking after the match, MC’s head coach, Andrew A. Kallon, described the win as a testament to his players’ determination to secure positive results throughout the 2024/2025 ISSA season.

However, he acknowledged that his team’s failure to win by a larger margin was due to poor finishing throughout the game. He emphasized that future training sessions would focus on improving scoring accuracy under pressure.

“I want to thank my players for securing this first victory under my leadership as head coach. Although there were several lapses during the game, I can assure the MC administration and sports department that we will return to the drawing board and better prepare for upcoming matches,” Kallon said.

He urged his players to learn from their mistakes and work harder to improve their performance in future games.

On the other hand, Fountain of Light’s head coach, Stanley Armah, attributed his team’s narrow loss to poor finishing.

“We lost by just one point because of our missed opportunities. However, I believe we will bounce back in our next game,” Armah said, calling on his players to correct their mistakes and improve their execution on the court.

In the second game of the day, B. W. Harris dominated World Wide Mission with a convincing 30-19 victory.
