MONROVIA – The Children Earth Angel Foundation (CEAF) has provided electricity for 200 school children at four orphanages in Monrovia and its environs.

According to the Founder and Executive Officer of CEAF, Massa Kromah, her charitable foundation launched the ‘Light for Life Project’ to enable the children at the orphanages have light to study at night because most of these homes do not have light or stable power supply.
She noted that the project initially targeted six orphanages but was able to serve four including the Mother Victoria Thomas Orphanage of New Matadi, Children Future Orphanage in Kakata, Comfort K. Toe Orphanage in Brewerville and Children Rescue Orphanage in Mount Barclay.
“The absence of light breeds an unproductive environment. We took note of this, especially with the fact that most of the orphanage homes suffer and complain of poor power supply.
Our purpose for this project is to make sure the orphans have light to study at night, because the areas where the Orphanage homes are situated don’t have stable power supply,” she averred.
Miss. Kromah noted that the project was made possible through the kind gesture her organization’s partners including the Union Strong Group, GIZ – Endev and the Liberia Rural Renewable Energy for donating six solar panels, as well as solar lamps towards the project.
She thanked the management of these institutions for their humanitarian gestures and made a passionate appeal to others to emulate their exemplary steps in putting smiles on the faces of the orphans.
“Our thanks and appreciation go out to the managements of Union Strong group for donating the solar panels, GIZ – Endev provided the technical services by installing the lights and the Liberia Rural Renewable Energy provided the solar lamps. We hope others will follow their good example and join us in helping these needy children,” she intoned.
Meanwhile, speaking at their respective institutions, the administrators including Alexander Clarke (Children Rescue) and Christiana Blamo (Children Future) commended CEAF for the timely intervention; adding that provision of electricity will boost the children’s learning process.
CEAF is a charitable foundation that is dedicated to rendering support to underprivileged children, especially orphans and kids in slump communities in Monrovia and its environs.
Recently, the foundation donated over more than fifty chairs and desks to the Serena Day Care Nursery and Kindergarten school of Wein town Community in Paynesville.
It can be recalled that in March, the foundation in collaboration with a humanitarian American Nurse practitioner, Janet Reeves provided free medication and distributed an assorted material including clothes, flipflops, sneakers, toys, and reading books to orphans at the Anna E. Enoch and Cenacolo Orphanages in Brewerville.
According to the Miss Kromah, the foundation is expected to embark on its third Christmas Give Back program this December where it will identify with the kids at the various orphanages.
