Liberia: Lawmaker Seriously Injured in Car Crash

Monrovia-Gbarnga Highway – Bong County lawmaker Robert Flomo Womba, has been hospitalized following a car accident on the Monrovia-Gbarnga highway.

Doctors at Phebe Hospital confirmed to FrontPageAfrica that the District Four lawmaker was in critical condition as of Friday evening.

The lawmaker was en route to Gbarnga Friday morning when his vehicle spun of of out control, James Janteh, a staffer in the lawmaker’s office told FrontPageAfrica.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident.

Janteh said Womba, a first time lawmaker, sustained some major injuries.

Womba, a Unity Party lawmaker, has been a member of the Legislature since January 2018.

His district covers Zota and Panta as well as Menquelleh Clan.
