Speaking with confidence and conviction, Kuoh said FC Fassell’s success is no accident but a result of deliberate planning, structure and ambition aimed at revolutionizing the local game.
“We are not just a team; we are a movement to liberate Liberian football,” Kuoh said. “At the end of the day, I can tell you for free FC Fassell is going to win the championship in Liberia for the next five years. We have the capacity and the preparation, so I’m not worried.”
Kuoh’s remarks come as Fassell continue to attract national attention following their performances in the CAF Champions League and recent triumph in the LFA Super Cup. He believes in the club’s vision and places them far ahead of their competitors.
“We Are a Movement, Not Just a Team”
For Kuoh, FC Fassell’s rise is not just about silverware it’s about changing the culture of Liberian football. He said the club’s organization, discipline, and investment in players are all part of a long-term strategy to build a football dynasty.
“We have a system that works. From the technical staff to the players and management, everyone understands the vision,” he added. “We are building something that will last a standard that others will follow.”
On CAF Champions League Campaign
Despite FC Fassell’s exit from the CAF Champions League, Kuoh said he remains proud of how the team competed against MC Alger, one of Africa’s oldest and most established clubs.
“If you look at the people we played with, MC Alger, this team was founded in 1921 and is a state-owned club with state funding,” Kuoh explained.
“Fassell FC is privately owned. I was going against a state team. At the end of the day, we know we did our best. We wanted to conquer them, but we didn’t. It’s a work in progress, and next year we’ll do better.”
He emphasized that Fassell defended their home ground, drawing at home and losing narrowly away to a vastly experienced side.
“Even though we didn’t win at home, we didn’t lose either, that means we defended our home,” he said. “We lost away to a very strong side, a team that reached the quarterfinal last year. We’re just coming up, so I don’t see that as a problem. It’s progress.”
Focused on the Future
Kuoh said the lessons learned from continental competition will only make his club stronger as they aim to dominate locally and compete regionally.
“It’s work in progress, we’re going to get it done next time,” he asserted.
The Fassell boss also praised his women’s team, Determine Girls FC, predicting they will clinch the 2025/2026 LFA Women’s Championship. Both Fassell and Determine Girls began the season by lifting the Super Cup titles, a feat Kuoh described as proof of the clubs’ growing dominance.
“Both games were tough, but we had a game plan and executed it,” he said. “The better sides won because we prepared better. That’s what champions do.”
With Kuoh’s unwavering confidence and Fassell’s growing momentum, the message is clear a new football dynasty is being built, and Cassell Kuoh intends for FC Fassell to rule Liberian football for years to come.
