Monrovia – The Faith Deliverance and Prayer healing Ministries says it will begin the celebration of its 14th anniversary, and the church will host several international guest preachers including Apostle Siafa Getaweh, a Liberian based in the diaspora and Emery Webbah, Pastor Paye Vincent Bagnon, who is the General Overseer of the Ministries, disclosed that the National convention will commenced from September 30th to October 6th 2019 and will be held under the theme, Grace for maxima Impact, taken from the book of Acts chapter 20:28.
Speaking during a press conference over the weekend at the church in the Coca Cola Factory community in Paynesville, Rev. Bagnon, commonly known as Pastor Paye, said the church has established more than 25 churches and pastors in eight out of the 15 counties of Liberia.
He added that seven preaching points are in five countries including USA, Uganda, Namibia Botswana, Tanzania and Ghana.
Pastor Paye, who spoke on several issues, gave his take on the ongoing economic crisis.
Said Pastor Paye: “Right after Election, you cannot still be in your campaign stage while you are leading, because you have six years to put forth what you need to do, so you cannot run campaign for six years. If our economy must grow, we need technocrats and not willing people.”
“Our pace is getting slower because we are overweight with willing people. Before the elections, in a press conference, we spoke on violence during elections and it happened, and we said you cannot be in the lead and be arrogant, and when you are in the lead, you cannot have a thin skin.”
He said if Liberia will have to go higher, it has to discover young talents, and open up to critical minds who will say things as they are not to be branded negatively.
“I want to appreciate President Weah for his good work so far, but I would also want him to look for critical minds to add to what he already has. Critical minded people who will look at him and speak the truth,” he said.
He said if a person is working with willing people, who are not capacitated, he will see himself going down.
Addressing the recent strike action of health workers, Pastor Paye said “professionalism and technocrats” are needed to prevent things from getting out of hand before mitigation.
“I say this because when you are a technocrat, you are the brain behind what is unfolding, but you cannot be a technocrat and be a PR at the same time, and speaking to all of the issues and calling figures publicly,” he said.
“If you have just one professional person, you will achieve a lot than having 10 non-professional people who are willing. If Liberia will have to go higher, we need the best professionals. However, we pray that Liberia be calm, because Liberia is all we have and the peace of this nation is resting on the shoulders of everyone.”
Meanwhile, the Prelate has announced that the morning sessions of the anniversary programs will run from Morning to 3:00 Pm, while the revival sessions will run from 5:00 – 8:00 Pm.
