Liberia: GTBANK Liberia to introduce new core Banking Service Delivery

In a significant move to enhance innovative Banking in the Country, Guaranty Trust Bank (Liberia) Ltd has disclosed plans to transition to a new and robust core banking system in March 2026.

The initiative underscores the Bank’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and delivering faster, more secure and more convenient banking services to customers across all service channels.

According to GTB Liberia Limited the upgrade is designed to improve processing speed, strengthen system reliability and reduce turnaround time for transactions across the Bank’s branches and digital platforms.

Commenting on the development, the Managing Director of GTBank Liberia, Ikenna Anekwe emphasized that the transition reflects the Bank’s ongoing commitment to delivering superior service to its

valued customers.

“As a customer-focused Bank, we continuously seek innovative ways to enhance the overall banking experience. Migrating to this new core banking system is a significant step in that direction” Mr. Anekwe said.

“We are fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition and providing the necessary support to our customers throughout the process.”

He further noted that the transition process, which is expected to last a few hours, may result in temporary service interruptions.

“During the migration period, some of our services or electronic banking platforms may be temporarily unavailable as we move from the existing system to the new platform” he disclosed.

“Our Technical and Customer Experience Teams will be working around the clock to minimize any disruption and restore full services as quickly as possible. We will also provide regular updates to keep our customers informed of our progress and challenges”.Anekwe explains.

Meanwhile, GTBank Liberia is urging the understanding and cooperation of its customers during the transitioning process and underscored that the upgrade will deliver efficient and seamless banking experience to the public.
