The planned intervention follows a rapid assessment of the school, which revealed significant infrastructural deficiencies requiring urgent attention to provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for students and teachers.
Grand Bassa County Superintendent Karyou Johnson disclosed the planned renovation on Tuesday, August 18 following an assessment of the facility and concerns raised over its deteriorating condition.
According to Superintendent Johnson, funding for the renovation will come from a US$500,000 contribution from Cavalla Resources Liberia Incorporated, which was allocated to support educational development and other related interventions in Grand Bassa County.
He said the County Administration remains committed to improving educational facilities across the county as part of broader efforts to strengthen the education sector and improve learning conditions for students.

Superintendent Johnson explained that the renovation is expected to commence after the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) approves the project plan to be submitted by the County Administration.
The proposed intervention is expected to address critical infrastructural challenges at Marblee Public School and restore the facility to a standard suitable for teaching and learning.
Superintendent Johnson emphasized that the County Administration will continue to identify and respond to pressing development needs in communities across Grand Bassa County, particularly within the education sector, where adequate infrastructure remains essential to the academic development of students and the overall progress of communities.
The planned renovation of Marblee Public School is therefore expected to mark another step in the county government’s ongoing efforts to improve public educational infrastructure and create better learning environments for students across Grand Bassa County.
