Speaking at a press conference held Monday in his district office, Bishop Donyen explained that the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on over 200 families, providing relief and hope to students and parents facing economic challenges.
“This contribution is about ensuring that these students can focus on their studies without the stress of worrying about exam fees. It’s about lifting some of the financial burdens on their families,” Bishop Donyen stated.
The donation directly covered the registration fees required by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for the 2025 Government Examination, which varies by grade level.
Grateful parents lauded Bishop Donyen’s timely intervention, noting how it has alleviated a significant burden. One parent shared, “Before this contribution, it was never easy paying such a large amount, especially for families with multiple students in WASSCE classes. Now, with this help, we as parents can focus on encouraging our children to excel and aim for top performance.”
Another parent added, “We are grateful to Bishop Nimely Donyen for this remarkable gesture. This support motivates us to ensure our children work hard to bring pride to their schools and the community.”
Bishop Donyen, a former representative candidate for Montserrado County District #2, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and development initiatives in the district. He pledged to continue providing assistance to residents, emphasizing the importance of empowering youth through education.
“I will remain optimistic in offering support to those in need, especially in education, because an educated community is key to fostering development and creating a brighter future for all,” Bishop Donyen concluded.
This initiative underscores Bishop Donyen’s dedication to uplifting his community and investing in its future leaders.
