The match started in electrifying fashion for the home side. Captain Marvin Blapoh broke the deadlock in the 8th minute, and Marcus Kumeh doubled the lead, sending the home supporters into jubilant celebrations. But Bea Mountain refused to be intimidated. Mohamed Kanu pulled one back before halftime and, after the break, they equalized and later gave the visitors the lead, turning the contest on its head.

Borough FC’s resolve, however, shone through. Teenager Vitalis Sie Jr. brought smiles back to the D-Tweh stands with a cool finish in the 79th minute, ensuring the spoils were shared.

Chances came and went for the home side, with Clarence Sneh missing two golden opportunities to put Borough beyond reach, while Sylvester Doe failed to convert a one-on-one chance that could have sealed the victory.

Reflecting on the rollercoaster encounter, Borough FC coach Reo Nyanti said, “I am proud of the fighting spirit our team showed today. We made mistakes, yes, but the players never gave up. Vitalis’s goal and the energy in the second half show the potential of this squad.”

Captain Marvin Blapoh added, “Scoring early gave us confidence, and though we conceded later, the team never lost heart. We are just starting this new chapter, and there’s a lot more to come for Borough FC.”

On the visitors’ side, Bea Mountain coach Cooper Sannah commented, “It was a tough game. We showed character to come back from two goals down, and the draw reflects the effort both teams put in. Our boys will take lessons from this for the rest of the season.”

The match also marked the official start of Borough FC’s new era. Following the withdrawal of their main sponsor, Global Pharmaceutical Company, the club rebranded to reconnect with their New Kru Town roots, unveiling new colors, a fresh logo, and a renewed focus on community engagement.

With a hard-fought 3-3 draw, Borough FC have sent a clear message: this is a team willing to fight for every point, promising an exciting season ahead for fans and the New Kru Town community alike.
