Liberia: Ambassador Kebe Donates Sporting Materials to St. Francis, Chicken Farm Community

Monrovia–Liberia’s Ambassador-at-Large for Youth and Sports Development, Alioune Kebe, has continued his grassroots sports empowerment initiative with a generous donation of sporting materials to residents of St. Francis, Chicken Farm Community in Monrovia.

The donation is part of an ongoing effort by Amb. Kebe to support youth and community sports development, included first-class jerseys, footballs, and other essential equipment. The initiative aims to use sports as a tool for promoting peace, unity, and reconciliation in local communities.

Speaking during a brief presentation ceremony, Amb. Kebe encouraged the residents to view sports not just as recreation, but as a powerful force for national healing and community engagement.

“Let’s use sports as a platform to bring people together, promote peace, and build stronger, united communities,” he said.

A representative of the St. Francis Chicken Farm Community expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Kebe, noting that it was the first time such a donation had been made to their area.

“We are grateful for this historic gesture,” the representative said. “We promise to use these materials to promote peace and youth development, and we call on Amb. Kebe to extend his support to other communities as well.”

The donation was well received by residents, especially the youth, many of whom see sports as a vital outlet for personal growth and a potential pathway to greater opportunities.

Amb. Kebe has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting grassroots sports initiatives across Liberia, vowing to continue engaging with communities to identify and address their development needs through the power of sports.
