Mondray Outland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LIB Power Fight Boxing Club, highlighted that the institution plans to introduce a dynamic boxing aerobics initiative designed to motivate, empower, and transform the physical health of everyday Liberians.
Outland explained that training sessions will take place behind the new WAEC office building on the Old Road in Congo Town, Montserrado County.
“This program blends fitness with practical boxing techniques, helping participants improve health, build confidence, and learn basic self-defense in a fun, high-energy environment,” Outland said. “Created with the Liberian working class in mind, the schedule offers convenient and accessible sessions running for about 60 to 90 minutes twice a week.
“Men will train on Mondays and Wednesdays, women on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., while children’s classes will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon,” he said.
Outland further stated that beyond fitness, LIB Power Fight is promoting national cohesion through its “Unification Run” initiative. The relay journey will span across Liberia from Lofa to Monrovia, with a baton passed from person to person and community to community to symbolize shared responsibility.
A support vehicle and standby team will accompany participants to ensure safety along the route.
The Unification Run aims to be inclusive, engaging students, local chiefs, and community leaders.
Upon reaching Monrovia, the baton will pass through various government ministries to national leaders.
Organizers plan to record all participants for 2027, with long-term goals of repeating the national event in 2030.
Outland emphasized that sports remain a vital tool for empowerment, discipline, and national connection, urging the general public—including parents of children aged five and above—to take advantage of the six-week training initiative to improve their physical well-being.
