Monrovia – Soccer legend George Weah is in the lead with 61.5% compared to Vice President Joseph Boakai’s 38.5%.
Weah obtained 720,023 votes while the Boakai followed with 451,088 votes.
The National Elections Commission Wednesday evening released the first batch of preliminary results representing 98.1 percent of total polling places.
The NEC has assured the public that full results would be reported Thursday, December 29.
