
LUSAKA, Zambia – Arthur R. M. Becker, Director of the Department of Multilateral Environmental Agreements at Liberia’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is representing Liberia at the NAP Expo 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia.
The Expo serves as a global platform for stakeholders to advance the formulation and implementation of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and to apply updated NAP technical guidelines.
A dispatch from Zambia says as Liberia’s representative, Mr. Becker is engaging with counterparts from other Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), development partners, and technical experts to share experiences and explore opportunities to strengthen Liberia’s climate resilience.

During the event, he is expected to participate in multiple panel discussions across thematic plenary sessions, highlighting Liberia’s perspective and experiences in climate adaptation planning.
Mr. Becker’s participation underscores Liberia’s commitment to integrating climate adaptation into national development strategies, enhancing planning processes, and promoting cooperation under multilateral environmental frameworks.
The Government of Liberia remains steadfast in its dedication to climate adaptation and resilience-building as part of its broader environmental and sustainable development objectives.
