A new era of secure and efficient academic record management has begun in Liberia with the official launch of TranscriptDove, a digital platform developed by Ednova Group to modernize transcript processing and verification.
Speaking at the launch, Ednova Group Founder and CEO, Abraham Ernest Turay, described the initiative as a bold step toward Liberia’s digital future, emphasizing that data security and system integrity are now fundamental responsibilities for institutions.
“In today’s world, security is no longer optional it is foundational,” Turay said, noting that institutions must protect not only knowledge but also data and identities.
Built on Ednova Group’s expertise in cybersecurity and risk management, TranscriptDove is designed as a centralized, secure platform to address long-standing delays and inefficiencies in academic record processing across Liberia.
Turay highlighted that students often wait weeks or months to obtain transcripts, affecting opportunities for employment and further education, while manual systems remain vulnerable to fraud and manipulation.
He explained that TranscriptDove introduces a streamlined system where academic records can be requested, processed, and verified efficiently, supported by advanced features such as encryption, identity verification, audit trails, and cloud-based infrastructure aligned with global standards.
Also speaking at the event, Nimba County District 9 Representative Taa Wongbe described the platform as a “revolutionary” innovation capable of transforming Liberia’s education sector.
Drawing from his technology background, Wongbe noted that while several African countries are advancing rapidly in digital innovation, Liberia still faces challenges in fully harnessing technology’s potential.
He pointed to persistent difficulties students face in obtaining transcripts from major institutions, describing TranscriptDove as a practical solution that directly addresses these issues by simplifying and securing the process.
“This is a problem-solving innovation a painkiller, not a vitamin,” Wongbe said, emphasizing its immediate impact on real challenges within the education system.
Representing Margibi County Senator Nathaniel McGill, Chief of Staff Varmah Bobby Gray underscored the urgency of digital transformation in education, describing it as essential for national development and global competitiveness.
Gray highlighted the need for a national digital academic registry that enables instant verification of credentials, reduces fraud, and builds trust in Liberia’s education system, urging strong collaboration among government, institutions, and the private sector.
