Conqueror Wins 2018 Liberia Athletics Federation National Club Championship

Monrovia – Conquerors Athletics Club has won the 2018 National Club Athletics Championship on Saturday snatching seven gold medals. Three out of the six clubs of the Liberia Athletic Federation (LAF) participated in the annual club event which was intended to determine the best club or rank the clubs as well as spot or plug standing and progressive potential players.

The male and female athletes of Conquerors amassed 63 points which put them on top of the log to shove Liberty Athletics Club of retaining the championship title. Some of the star athletes for Conquerors include Kedmiel Enders, Lucy Massaquoi, Charles Gbelia, Julius Kambo, Otricia Boukar and Princess Gonor. The 2017 winner of the LAF National Club Championship, Liberty, accrued 57 points, six gold. T

he starters for Liberty are Andrew Kpehe, Sunnyboy Barcon, Michael Saykie, Emmanuel Kratus and Rebecca Kollie. However, Fast Track emerged 3rd with 47 points. The starters for the Track team are Abraham Harris, Morris Freeman, William Saweboe and Queenalie Jackson.

The clubs partook in nine events, including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 4×1 relay, 4×4 relay, long jump and high jump.
