Minister Dagoseh committed on Thursday when an LKF delegation, led by President Emmanuel Surprise Whea, paid her a courtesy visit at her office in Congo Town. The delegation also included the Assistant Minister for Sports, Murvee Gray.

During the meeting, Minister Dagoseh emphasized her passion for women’s empowerment, describing kickball as an essential platform for promoting female participation, leadership, and unity.

She pledged to support initiatives aimed at strengthening women’s involvement in both athletics and community development.

For his part, President Whea lauded the Minister for her visible presence during the recently concluded National County Sports Meet.

He noted that her engagement significantly boosted the morale of players and officials, adding that such interest from senior government officials is vital for the advancement of women’s sports.

“Your support sends a strong message that women’s sports are a priority for this administration,” Whea noted during the visit.

The LKF president also briefed Minister Dagoseh on the federation’s upcoming trip to Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The mission is intended to promote cross-border collaboration and the decentralization of kickball within the Mano River Union (MRU) sub-region.

Minister Dagoseh welcomed the regional initiative, encouraging the federation to remain steadfast in using the sport as a tool for fostering regional cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to maintain a collaborative relationship between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the LKF to elevate the profile of the sport across the country.
