Monrovia –  The Government of Hungary has committed to providing a US$50 Million grant to the Government of Liberia with additional plans of signing corporation agreements in several sectors.

Monrovia — The Forest Incomes for Environmental Sustainability (FIFES) Activity, a five-year activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by ACDI/VOCA, completed a three-day work planning session with 80 stakeholders from the forestry sector at Millennium Guest House in Monrovia.

Monrovia – The Liberia Elections Observation Network (LEON) has recommended that the election date be moved fully to the dry season not just by one month as is currently proposed. This has the support of 90% of respondents because it will make voting and election preparations easier. The inauguration date stated in the Constitution will need to be changed along with the timeline for complaints and appeals to fit either a one month or longer change to the election date.

MONROVIA – The Mano River Union (MRU) comprising of four West African countries including Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast have officially established a National Advisory Committee (NAC) to supervise and manage the transboundary water resources in the Moa-Makona and Cavalla water basins respectively. The decision was reached at the end of a one day stakeholders meeting held in Monrovia Thursday, September 26, 2019.
