Local leaders, citizens living around Concession communities and concessionaires BUCHANAN – A high power delegation from the Liberia Timber Association (LibTA) led by its Head of Secretariat Mr. E. Ekema Witherspoon along with local and international partnering organizations from the forest sector has extended training on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Monrovia – The Government of Liberia has won another landmark Human Trafficking case at the 7th Judicial Circuit Court in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County in the case involving 16 persons trafficked to Liberia.

We, the Concerned Grand Gedeh Citizens in the Diaspora, read, with deep disappointment and dismay, a press release issued recently by a group calling itself the “United Grand Gedeans for Sustainable Peace and Development.” The press statement condemned the petition submitted recently to the President of Liberia, through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, by the Grand Gedeh County Senior Citizens Grievance Committee, Congress for Democratic Change (CDC). 

Monrovia – The Government of Liberia has won a major Human Trafficking case at the Criminal Court “A”, at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia today Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

MONROVIA – The Government of Liberia, through the Minister of Justice, has held a meeting with the family of the late Princess Cooper at the Ministry of Justice in Monrovia. The meeting was pursuant to the President’s directive to the Attorney General to ensure the conduct of a second autopsy on the remains of the late Ms. Cooper, who died on March 24, 2022.

Monrovia – The UN Joint Rule of Law Programme in collaboration with the crime units of the Ministries of Justice, Gender, Children and Social Protection, and the Health Ministry is conducting a three-day refresher training in Grand Bassa County from April 19 – 21, 2022. The training seeks to enhance the efficiency of specialized courts handling sexual offenses (“Criminal Courts E”).

MONROVIA – The Watkins Initiative for Nations (WIN) vehemently rejects the autopsy report released by the Government of Liberia. The report leaves more questions than answers. TB does not treat a person given the circumstances of Princess Cooper’s death unlike the person who has defunct on treatment or experienced multidrug resistance.

MONROVIA – The Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center) announces that it is collaborating with atelier masōmī’s Mariam Issoufou Kamara, Counterspace’s Sumayya Vally,and Pan-African Engineering Group’s (PAEG) Karen Richards Barnes in the design of a state-of-the-art Presidential Center and Library in Monrovia, Liberia.

Monrovia – The Government of Liberia, through its Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, has entered into an agreement with SnooCODE Limited to provide Liberia with a National Postal Digital Addressing System (NPDAS).
