MONROVIA- The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as part of its longstanding partnership with Liberia, has signed a 24-month project with the Agriculture and Internal Affairs Ministries, styled “Strengthened Smallholders’ Capacity for Market-oriented Vegetable Production in Liberia under its FAO’s Technical Cooperation Programme to the Government of Liberia.

MONROVIA — The Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) and the Afriland First Bank Liberia Limited (AFBLL) on Thursday, March 14, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for rural currency changeover through the Rural Community Finance Institutions (RCFIs) in 8 of our 15 counties. Namely: Nimba, Gbarpolu, Grand Kru, River Gee, Rivercess, Sinoe, Lofa, and Bong Counties.

Paynesville — As part of an effort to improve the well-being of oral healthcare services in Liberia, the Trinity Dental Clinic (TDC) under the ELWA Hospital, has made a significant extension of its dental clinic in Paynesville.

MONROVIA – The Liberian Learning Center, overseen by the Canadian charity Empowerment Squared and founded by its Executive Director, Leo Nupolu Johnson, is comprised of three facilities. These centers are strategically designed to reshape the educational landscape of Liberia, particularly in Paynesville, aiming to provide access to a diverse range of learning resources for over 250,000 community members. The center has recently been officially dedicated.

Monrovia – The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct a one-month survey on the Liberian waters to check on the movement of fish and marine resources along the West Africa Coastline.

Todee District, Montserrado – As part of the annual celebration of International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Girls Get Equal- Liberia (GGE) with support from Plan International Liberia has ended a day-long dialogue with Traditional Leaders and Students of Todee District to put an end of all practices of Female Genital Mutilation.
