GANTA, Nimba County – The Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) of Liberia with support from the United Nations Development Program(UNDP) and Partners, holds the third and final regional validation workshop on Liberia’s Nationally Determined Contribution-NDC for stakeholders from five counties of Liberia. Those counties include Bong, Lofa, Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Rivergee.

Kakata, Margibi County – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines & Energy, and with support from the United Nations Development Program-UNDP through the Environmental Governance Programme funded by SIDA Monday began a two-day training workshop for multi-stakeholders including artisanal and small scale miners on Environment Monitoring and Human Rights.

Congo Town, Paynesville – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Thursday launched the Livelihood and Employment Creation project at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town outside of Monrovia.

Kakata, Margibi County – Community Healthcare Initiative-CHI, a local NGO into health and advocacy Wednesday conducted a one-day consultative maternal health meeting in partnership with the Margibi Health Team to brainstorm on how the relationship between Train Traditional Midwives-TTM and Medical facilities in Margibi County can be strengthen.

Buchanan, Grand Bassa – The Environmental Protection Agency-EPA along with the United Nations Development Program-UNDP, the European Union-EU, Conservation International-CI and the Nationally Determined Contributions-NDC Partnerships last week conducted a two-day training for national experts on the different processes and strategies on the submission of budget allotment for unconditional NDC commitments.

MONROVIA — Months after a programme to provide food for the poor under a COVID-19 food relief effort had started, some residents of Monrovia are still waiting for their rations. The Liberian government had allocated an amount of $25 million to provide food relief for the poor and vulnerable.
