MONROVIA – The Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) has appointed Cllr. Jeddi M. Armah as the Chairman of the Special Committee of the LNBA on Media Relations. Cllr. Armah is a former Deputy Minister of Information for Press and Public Affairs. His new mandate with the LNBA is to with in consulation with the Executive Council plan and implement appropriate media awareness program to educate members of the Bar and legal community about activities of the Bar. He would be serving along Atty. Khalifa Sheriff, co-chair, Atty. Cletus Sieh, Cllr. J. Adolphus Karnuah and Atty. Joseph M. Cheeseman.

MONROVIA – UNESCO Liberia over the weekend ended a two-day workshop in Monrovia on ICT in Education, with participants building a consensus on a framework and strategy for a draft national policy on ICT in Education in country. The workshop is part of a UNESCO-CFIT project sponsored by the People’s Republic of China in collaboration with Liberia’s Ministry of Education. Monrovia – A youth-led media initiative, Youth Media Action, has embarked on a campaign aimed at electoral reform in Liberia. The Executive Director of the Group, Varmah Kamara said electoral reform is critical to the sustenance of Liberia’s peace and fragile democracy. Monrovia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has requested the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to change the venue for its crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with DR Congo on 24 March. The match is scheduled for the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa with Liberia second in Group G on seven points and DR Congo on six points.
