Agriculture Minister Receives Golden Image Award, Dedicates Honor to President Boakai, Ministry Staff and Liberian Farmers

Monrovia, Liberia – July 25, 2026 – Agriculture Minister Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah has received the prestigious Golden Image Award from the Crusaders for Peace, dedicating the honour to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, the hardworking staff of the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers across Liberia whose collective efforts continue to drive the country’s agricultural transformation.

The award was presented by representatives of the Crusaders for Peace on behalf of Ambassador Juli Endee in recognition of Dr. Nuetah’s leadership and commitment to advancing Liberia’s agricultural sector.

Receiving the honour, Dr. Nuetah described the recognition as a solemn reminder that the work of transforming agriculture must continue with even greater dedication.

“We deeply appreciate this honour. It’s not just something to celebrate; it’s an additional call to be excellent at what we do. We see this award not just as something for celebration, but as a call to reaffirm our commitment to making agriculture work in this country,” the Minister said.

Dr. Nuetah said the award ultimately belongs to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, whose vision continues to shape the Government’s drive to transform agriculture into a catalyst for economic growth and food security.

“We receive this award on behalf of His Excellency the President because everything we do in this sector is his vision,” he said.

The Minister also dedicated the recognition to the men and women of the Ministry of Agriculture, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Deputy Ministers, Assistant Ministers, technicians, extension personnel and support staff whose commitment has helped advance the Ministry’s mandate.

“We want everyone to know that it is because of their hard work in the field that the Golden Image Award was given to us. We are receiving it on their behalf. It is not just Alexander Nuetah as Minister, but all of our strong technicians, our Deputy Ministers and our Assistant Ministers whose contribution to what we do led to this award,” he added.

Expressing appreciation to the Crusaders for Peace, Dr. Nuetah reaffirmed the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to serving the Liberian people through policies and programs that strengthen agriculture, empower farmers and improve national food security.

“Thank you to the Crusaders for Peace for recognizing us during this Golden Image Award Ceremony. We remain committed to providing the right services that will improve the agricultural sector and make a lasting difference in the lives of the Liberian people,” the Minister said.

The Golden Image Award adds to the growing recognition of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to reposition the sector as a cornerstone of national development and reflects the confidence of stakeholders in the Government’s vision for a more productive, resilient, and food-secure Liberia.
