Accra, Ghana – Liberia’s Vice President Chief/ Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, on April 17, paid an official courtesy visit to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Mahamudu Bawumia.
The visit was aimed at strengthening partnership between the two nations, by identifying ways in which Liberia can tap into the current Ghanaian Government’s experience of building the capacity of its youth population and addressing youth unemployment.
Vice President Howard-Taylor according to a dispatch, appealed to her counterpart for Ghana’s assistance, in building the capacities of thousands of unemployed Liberian youth, particularly in the areas of Human Capacity Development; Agriculture and Small Business Development.
In the dispatch, VP Howard-Taylor believes that Liberia can benefit from the ideas and innovation of the current Ghanaian administration, in dealing with issues of capacity building in Ghana.
Speaking earlier, the Ghanaian Vice President welcomed VP Howard-Taylor and reiterated President Nana Akufo-Addo’s commitment to supporting all of Liberia’s development drive.
He expressed optimism of finding new ways in which the two countries can foster more collaboration and partnership.
The visit marks Vice President Howard-Taylor’s first official meeting with a vice president of another nation.
